How Our Consultations Work

We know that living with conditions like hEDS, HSD, or POTS can be overwhelming. That’s why we take a personalised, patient-first approach to your care. Our consultation process is designed to give you the time and space to discuss your health concerns, while we provide evidence-based guidance to help you feel better over time.

Step 1: Initial Consultation – Getting to Know You (1 hour) – $200

In this first consultation, we take a deep dive into your health history, current symptoms, and personal goals. This session is all about understanding you and your experiences. We will cover:

  • Your health and personal history, including past treatments and current strategies.

  • A detailed overview of your symptoms—everything from joint pain and exhaustion to digestion and cognitive issues.

  • Your personal goals for your health and daily life.

After this session, you will receive:

  • Short-term lifestyle strategies to start calming the nervous system and reducing symptom flares.

  • A two-week food and symptom diary to help us understand how your body is reacting to your current nutrition and lifestyle.

The aim is to provide you with some initial relief while setting the groundwork for deeper, long-term changes

Step 2: Deep Dive into Nutrition (1 hour) – $180

Your second consultation focuses on nutrition, which plays a crucial role in managing hypermobility-related conditions. This is a non-judgmental discussion about your eating habits and how food might be affecting your symptoms. We take into account any food preferences, aversions, or sensitivities, especially for neurodivergent clients who may have specific dietary needs.

During this session, we will explore:

  • What foods and fluids you consume, and how they may contribute to your symptoms.

  • Any food aversions or safe foods you rely on due to sensory or digestive sensitivities.

  • How you feel before, during, and after eating, and how that affects your condition.

You’ll leave with a graded nutrition plan that includes:

  • Practical guides to gradually incorporate new foods or make adjustments to your current nutrition.

  • Recommendations for addressing any nutrient deficiencies which could be contributing to your symptoms.

This plan is designed to be realistic and manageable, fitting seamlessly into your daily life without being restrictive.

Step 3: Your Long-Term Plan (1 hour) – $180

In this consultation, we will review the insights gathered from your food and symptom diary, as well as the progress made since your last session. This is where we develop your long-term health plan, which includes:

  • A step-by-step graded approach which adapts to your lifestyle and energy levels.

  • Strategies for supporting the systems in your body which need the most care, including the nervous, digestive, and immune systems.

  • A comprehensive plan which includes:

    • Nutrition: Building on the recommendations from your second consultation to create a sustainable, nourishing nutrition plan.

    • Lifestyle strategies: Methods to manage stress, improve sleep, and enhance your overall well-being.

    • Naturopathic supplementation: Evidence-based recommendations to support your health, including vitamins, minerals, and herbal remedies which align with your specific needs.*

After this session, we typically schedule monthly follow-up consultations to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your plan. These ongoing consultations help ensure your care evolves as your needs change. As progress continues, consultations will become further apart.
