Naturopathy is a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself using evidence-based, natural therapies. At Hypermobile Natural Therapies, we use naturopathy to address underlying factors that may be contributing to your symptoms, including lifestyle, nutrition, and environmental influences.
Unlike conventional medicine, which often focuses on treating symptoms, naturopathy looks at the whole person, seeking to restore balance and improve overall well-being. We integrate the latest research with natural therapies like nutrition support, lifestyle modifications, and herbal medicine to create personalised treatment plans tailored to each individual.
Our goal is to provide sustainable, long-term solutions for managing conditions like Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD), Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS).

We focus on managing hypermobility and its associated conditions, including:
Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD)
Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS)
Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)

No, you don’t need a confirmed diagnosis to work with us. Many people experience symptoms for years without an official diagnosis due to long wait times for specialists or a lack of understanding from medical professionals. If you are dealing with hypermobility-related symptoms, we’re here to help you manage them, even while you seek an official diagnosis.
-
Yes, we work with clients who are neurodivergent, especially those who experience conditions like ADHD and Autism alongside hypermobility, hEDS, POTS, and MCAS. Our treatment plans take into account any specific challenges that may come with neurodivergence, including sensory sensitivities, food aversions, and managing symptoms in a way that is practical and sustainable for you.

Clinical naturopathy focuses on using evidence-based natural medicine to support the body’s healing processes. At Hypermobile Natural Therapies, we use a combination of lifestyle modifications, nutrition guidance, and naturopathic supplementation to help manage symptoms. Unlike generic treatment protocols, our care is tailored to each individual’s needs, ensuring you get a personalised approach that fits your life.

No, we do not diagnose any conditions. However, we can suggest referrals for condition diagnosis. Please note, there are extensive wait times in Australia for all diagnoses we help manage.

Yes we do. Often clients will come to us with a diagnosis of POTS or MCAS and either will not know they are hypermobile or will not have hypermobility. POTS and MCAS can occur post viral infections such as COVID.
Consultation FAQs
-
Your first consultation is a 60-minute session where we’ll take the time to get to know you and your health history. We’ll dive deep into your symptoms, lifestyle, and any past treatments or strategies you have tried. At the end of the session, you will leave with:
Short-term lifestyle and nervous system calming strategies to get you started.
A two-week food and symptom diary to help us better understand how your body is responding to your current routine
-
The second consultation is a deep dive into your nutrition and how it affects your symptoms. This 60-minute session is a non-judgmental look at your current eating habits, any food aversions or preferences, and how certain foods might be impacting your condition. You’ll receive a graded nutrition plan with practical guides and recommendations.
By the third consultation, we’ll create a long-term plan that addresses your body’s key systems, including strategies for managing your symptoms through nutrition, lifestyle changes, and supplementation. After this, we typically schedule monthly consultations to monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
-
Our three-step approach is designed to be gradual and sustainable. It includes:
Lifestyle adjustments: Focus on calming the nervous system and managing stress, sleep, and daily routines.
Nutrition guidance: Tailored plans to improve your energy, digestion, and overall well-being without feeling overwhelming.
Naturopathic supplementation: Where needed, we recommend evidence-based supplements to support your body’s natural healing processes.
This approach ensures we are making manageable changes at a pace that works for you, with a focus on long-term, sustainable improvements.

Hypermobile Natural Therapies will also not bill NDIS on your behalf if you are plan managed. You will be required to pay your invoice and then claim back from your NDIS provider.
